Ergonomic Footrests

“How can I improve my posture when working at my PC?”

One simple improvement you can make is to add a footrest. For a correct working posture the angle between the body, elbow and knees should be over 100 degrees. A footrest helps to ensure the angle between your extended legs and back is more than the important 100 degree limit.

“My back often aches when I’m sitting at my desk.”

Back aches are frequently caused by poor sitting posture at the workstation. An ergonomic footrest helps you maintain a correct body alignment, allowing the head to rest in a natural, neutral position taking the strain off of your back and neck.

“What is the best position for my legs to be in when sitting at my desk?”

Your legs should be extended out in front of you at not less than a 100 degree angle to your back. Our Footstep footrest can aid this process by discouraging your body from leaning too far forwards which causes straining.

“I don’t have a height adjustable chair but would like to improve my sitting position with a foot rest.”

My Ergonomic Office can recommend using a height adjustable ergonomic footrest, particularly if you are using a non-adjustable chair.

“I’d like to find an adjustable footrest.”

Our footrests are height and angle adjustable which means that they can be set to your own specific height requirements. This is an important feature of ergonomic footrests which need to be adjustable to give full benefit to the individual.
